Accountants fees
« on: April 30, 2009, 11:29:54 am »
Hi, Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of an accountant to do the self assessment form for a sole trader, no employees, no vat.
First year of business, part time turnover around 10k.
Thanks.

get in touch with your local tax office and find out about their self assessment workshop. if you are sole trader, it is easy to do it yourself. if you have all your recepts and all your earnings it's easy to do it yourself online. the workshop just steers you in the right direction.
it's so easy an idiot can do it, I know this cause i've done mine (put that in before anyone else does) ;D

140 quid per year.........corporate accountant.......well worth it, you could do it your self yes, but if you are like me and have no idea about capital depreciations, loss adjustments etc etc then you are better to have a professional look at them for you.

Sod doing accounts myself, far to much ball ache that will cost you over time, accountants no there business we know ours, unless you are an accountant thats come into window cleaning I would recommend getting one, business is stressful enough, they are cheap compared to the time it takes to do your own. did I say sod doing accounts myself!
