Life of microbore

Bought 100m of microbore in Jan 09. Its now split in the middle. Last hose lasted a year. How long they suppose to last?

I've probably had mine about 3 years nearly, the outer casing has now cracked and split in a few places.
When it starts to wear like this take it all off the reel and swap ends around .

If the hose splits somewhere or pin holes...just cut out the damaged section and insert a decent hose joiner......just like a new hose  ;D

My 100meter hose (Oct 06) has about 6 joiners in it...they are cheaper than buying a new hose.

Just changed mine at over two years. No leaks just looked like it might not last much longer.  :)

bought it from wcw. from the time we have had it it kink way too much for a new hose. its if the plastic coating has crumbled. might just be a bad one form their suppilers.

I had Thermobore and it lasted me a week,when it got hot the outside just went like warm cheese all i had to do was pull it round a wall or pot not hard and bits would just peel off of it until you could see the braided hose part.

That cant have been proper thermobore ive had mine up to 75 degrees with no problems.

yuo get what you pay for and i fully expect it to last for another 2 or 3 years.

I got it from Gardiners,it might have been a dodgy length of hose because it wasn`t right and Alex let me change it for normal microbore.
