My round is all over the place so i really am thinking trad would be quicker for me. I have been trying to get houses either side etc but to no avail. Anybody else done this in this situation?

If i had a thought like that it would be more like a nightmare i couldn`t imagine going back to trad i`d rather get more work that was WFP friendly,since going WFP i have changed my work over to it and any new worked gets poled or it dosen`t get done by me.

most of my round is here, there, and everywhere. I still find setting the poles and hoses quicker than setting the ladder. also, H&S says safest method available to you. if you have wfp you should stick with it.

i have no work where trad is faster... even my spread out work....how can trad be faster when all the frames need to be done as well?

Trad is never going to be quicker unless you have a really awkward round ie 1 up 1 downs and then having to go round the backs etc,i would never keep up with my work trad ever it wouldn`t be possible now.I think if you`ve never been WFP your opinion will always be different but once you have trad isn`t an option it`s the pole or the dole lol.

wfp is a lot quicker when you get a good routine going

 my sentiments exactly ... i just cannot see it being faster ...end of ... unless its glass only ... and even then i cant see it ..... since going wfp i do double the work in less time ....

steve . ar u van or backpack .im the same .houses not compact so i find backpack brill .just take out of van do front n side take it round back . put it back in van n away to go .no reeling in or out

Trolley, i use a small reel of minibore (20m) with it so im not wheeling it around each house, maybe its just me, damn slow

How do you carry your water?
I use a trolley sometimes and with a decent submersible pump in the water tank refilling is very quick. Unless you have run out 1/2 way through.
Which i think is the slowest aspect of a trolley or backpack.
20 metres of hose doesn't sound much to me. Leaving the trolley in the back of the van and pulling a hose along is as quick as it gets on most (but not all) work.

I have quite a few where it is quicker to trad rather than pole. Maybe I need to sort out the van but by the time I get all the hoses sorted turned on and pole ready I would easily have got the ladder off back on and windows done.

Maybe, but I like to think I am fairly quick at trad.

I have loads of work where trad is quicker overall. maybe not if you just counted cleaning the glass on one house but, for instance with 20 detatched bungalows, each with long driveways & all fenced off from each other with lovely flower beds/pots (for hose to tear up!) nice single pane windows, walk round with a pointer & bucket= 8-10 mins each easy!

Some of you need a trad refresher course by the sound of it!
