Pure water on Victorian glass
« on: April 09, 2009, 07:15:31 pm »
I have got and old property that Ive done for a while now, which is still fitted with its original Victorian period Russian glass, circa 1850's, the owner tells me.

The glass is wafer thin {and I was told to be careful of this when I started} and very irregular being full of curves, and bumps, but when I WFP it the results are totally amazing, the windows dry almost instataneously, and just gleam.

Every month I go back they are still gleaming.

I wished they still used this kind of glass on modern properties, as whilst the results are still good they do not have the same finish that these do.

Anyone got similar experiences of old, or particularly old Russian glass on their rounds?

I do a few of these types of glass and like you said, the results are excellent.
