Same here trippy, need a new van and everytime I make a suggestion others come on and knock it. I fancy the new shape Vito but seen so many older ones that look like an early 1970's Datsun rust bucket I'm a bit worried. Especially using Pure Water.

It seems the most respected Van is the VW Transporter. been looking for weeks now but I cant find anything decent to go with my budget. May decide to lease.

I love my renault trafic, its like driving a car, servicing and parts on a vito are very expensive and they do rust easily.

I have a Dispatch 1.9 at the mo and all round think its the perfect van. But I dont want to spend £5k ish on a newer one. I want something that looks a bit more modern hence the new Vito.

Had a VW Caddy for 18 months, hardly any probs, and just got a VW transporter, but it depends which salesman you talk to obviously, If they're trying to sell you a renault, they're not going to tell you how good VW are, the VW seller told me lots of bad things about about vivaro/traffic, which may or may not be true, but there are plenty of independent reviews online to help you decide

i do love the look of the traffic/vivaro, but having read the reviews on them they do seem to be laden with problems, ie gearboxes pack in, some owners claim their on the 3rd gearbox change !!! Aparently clutches go very quickly and the breaks are not up to it, its a shame because the look of van in my opinion is 2nd to none

The look is down to personal taste, you're probably never going to buy something you don't like the look of, unless its a real bargain, but when you use it for work, the number one thing you need is reliability, saying that my van is beautiful ;D ;D ;D
