Looking into all this wfp gubbins and im thinking along these lines.........

  I can get a van mounted system locally and this i can use on my big houses and groups of houses i have. Then i thought i could get either a trolley system or a back pack for the fiddly jobs that i have where i cant get access with the van and i can just fill that up from the tank in the van  .

  Thats the way im heading, what do you guys think of that as a plan? Bear in mind im hoping to get a couple of nice contracts once ive mastered it on my domestic work and am doing that quicker, so the van system will be handy for that.

Good plan Mark, I would have done the same myself if I could've afforded it at the time I went over to WFP.
At some point in the next month or 2 I'll be upgrading to a van & van mount system.
Trolley will be in the van and ready to use when required

once you have sorted the direction you wish to go in, all you have to do is decide how big a tank, how big a van, which make of van, which WFP system, or make up your own. (It may cost more, but I think you are better off letting the experts do it for you.......then again...I might make up my own system now I know a little about it )
You have to get your van written of course, not forgetting the waterproofing
Plan for the future too, no use getting an escort van with a 250l system if 2 years down the road you find you need a tranny and an 850l system
Actually, perhaps you should go for a full 1000l system, kitted out for 2 men, so thats 2 sets of poles and brushes etc....oh, and it means a LWB van with a load rating of a ton & a half

Well thats how my thinking keeps going
I start off thinking of a simple upgrade, second hand van, 450l tank, use existing gear.
2 grand, tops, all in
And by the end of the day everything has escalated to the point where it won't be possible to do unless I can come up with 20 grands' worth of funding

yeh ive already decided to go for an expert/dispatch/scudo with a 450ltr tank which is plenty for the moment i think. If you get short then just fill up at the job and rely on the DI filter. I have a friend who does plenty of big contracts with that size tank, so should be ok i hope.

    Dunno where your getting your 2k all in from though mate i know your looking for the same van as me and im struggling to fing a decent van anywhere near that price even at auction!

My experience in two months of pole........

Bought Peter Fogwill Aquatec trolley system and have modified it thus......

Leisure battery so I can work all day and charge it overnight (plus £30.00 and vat)
(I've made a tray for it so it sits in the base of the trolley with a 25l container of water on top.)
Longer hose - less trolley movements.

Vikan 10" brush-head which is deeper fatter and smaller than the one supplied and gives better control.

First month cleaning - slow - all fingers and thumbs - ooh! Errr! need more water what do I do?

Second month - change brush and battery as above - know how to assemble/disassemble quickly - use less water and have found that 200litres lasts most of most days.

Next step - Halfords type trailer so I can take up to another 250 litres when I need to. But not so urgent as I have become:-

More proficient, (have everything stored just so, know where to put everything etc)
Use less water on subsequent cleans,
More confident, so not peering at windows, talking to customers to convince them.

If I could choose again? Much the same but maybe a trailer straight off?

By the way - I love the poles - unger - so light and I can do up to 3 storeys or over conservatories as standard and have extra lengths if I need to go higher.

Van mount system, min 250, ideally 500ltr, good length hoses (100m), good length pole for work to be undertaken, nothing else required. 

We have a trolley system that has hardly been used for over a year now
