hi all,
just a quick question. How long would it take ya's to clean a small landing and stairs, if the soiling was average. not clean not really dirty.
just did 1 today and it took me 2 and a half hours from getting there to leaving. i am quite new to this so i no it will be taking me a little longer.
just wondering how quick people can do something lyk this, with a good job of course
cheers Ralph

My machine would probably be running for 20-30 minutes, depending on the carpet type and soil level. Depending on loads of different variables I could be on site for between 1 and 2 hours.
When doing little jobs, the more potential I think there is for further work from the customer, the longer I'm there

Ralph, how long have you been doing the job?
I only started last April but, in that short time, I'd say I have cut down the time spent on most jobs dramatically so don't worry about it too much. You will find you get into a rhythm fairly quickly.

its Ok to take an hour or more if you haven't got another job booked in, but rather than chatting hoping for further work I like to go to a confirmed job.
I'd be charging £55 for this job so they get a professional job, but done in an appropriate time.

Same here for a suite Clinton, got one tomorrow and I reckon 2 hours tops.
You do find that after a while you know what to unload and load the from the van and when etc etc. With practice comes efficiency.... I'd be more concerned if it had only taken you 10 minutes.... At least you must be doing it properly!
