Been asked to do a deep clean of normal 3 bed house, bathroom, lounge kitchen...

just wondered what you lads priced, how long itd take, and what do you inc+ as standard?? windows ? carpets? inside cupboards??

or should i price for all and let her choose???

Break it down. There is someone on the carpet cleaning side Colin 'Happy day' - I think does ovens, ask him for a price on that one.

Then whatever your rate would be for the rest. Any help?£150.00 for the rest?

It is impossible to have a standard rate because you cannot say that the dirt and grime will always be of that same standard, the carpets may be cord or a wilton, are the windows modern double glazed or wobbly old sash windows, is the oven a small built in or a great big range cooker. If you don't do these on a regular basis don't under estimate how long it will take you as you won't know what best to use to get those unusual things off. What sort of person is the customer? will be be the white glove type or easy going. With so many variables how can you quote on a standard ?

Surely you have an idea what you charge for the average 3 bed house, kitchen bathroom lounge 3 beds...

Sean, it does depend on how filthy it is but as a guideline:

For an empty property in not too bad condition (dusty or grubby)

Each bedroom 1/2 an hour (inc windows, door)
Bathroom around an hour (inc tiles, shower screen, floor)
Landing/hall about 1/2 an hour to an hour(depending on size)
Lounge 1/2 to an hour (again size matters)
Kitchen 2-3 hours (depends on how greasy minging it is)

Add an extra hour or 2 for unknown, unseen problems i.e. can get the oven clean, scraping the windows, mopping floors (laminate) skirting is stained heavily. If the property is minging double all times.

These times don't include carpet cleaning.

thanks thats spot on martin i was not planning on doing carpets as this isnt something i do but doin all rooms windows, and oven and probably inside all cupboards etc she would expect, and take the mrs's for the day so she can earn some shopping money

So shouldnt hopefully take more than a day

For the oven cleaning your looking at £60-£80. If I was asked to price up blind I'd go in at £300 all in, take in a general helper and bung them £7 per hour or something If they've had pets you could also try and sell on de infestation at a £100, it only costs you a little over a tenner and takes no more than 15 minutes providing the entire house is empty!

went in at 180 before reading last post and she thought that was too much didnt hear back ! spoke to a friend who does cc, he charges 120 for eot's!! far too cheap i reckon, but his missus does em so no staff to pay i suppose!!

It depends on whether they want a good job done or not I suppose. I have a friend up north who charges £400-£500 for full house cleans, but then his customers are at the high end of the market and expect the highest of standards.... You gets what you pays for!

Yeah, i felt it was cheap but had some time free in my window cleaning schedule so figured soemthing is better than nothing, my missus was gonna be free labour for the day

But i dont do them usually, was just an enquiry through the website but i was shocked at the price a cc company would charge

You cannot price lower than you would if you were putting an employee in, you did'nt fail to get the job just failed to sell yourself. Look on it as an insight on what you need to achieve next time - Don't go in lower just sell yourself better
