Touch local
« on: March 10, 2009, 04:51:57 pm »
Just had the usual spiel from them because i only have a free listing - how would i like thousands of enquirees etc. etc. anyway the guy starts getting a little shirty when i told him i wasn't interested in parting with £400 for their package. Why are you home at this time of day? he said. I replied that i rarely worked past three thirty." Why not - you could do loads more work if you took our package!"
I reminded him that's the advantage of doing my job - i work when i want. He wasn't impressed.  ;D

they were taking my payments off my credit card. i never signed anything but they thought they had a right to take money each month. in the end i cancelled my card and they couldn't take anything further

I signed up for their free service about a year ago.

On the same day, I signed up for the free service from Google.

Touch Local = zero

Google = about fifteen enquiries from prospective customers - I got all but two of 'em, and I know that my price was too high for one, it was too far away, really.
