I have run out of work
« on: March 06, 2009, 02:26:34 pm »
For the first time in 4 years i have run out of work.

With all the nice weather lately we have had i have stayed out an hour longer each day and now have no work until wednesday.

Now im thinking should i go and canvass a couple of days extra work.
Enjoy the time off.
The thing is if i canvass a couple of days extra work and the weather turns crap again i will again get behind.

O well its nice being all up to date.

Me too Paul. Had three days off. I think i went a bit too quick after that week off cos of the snow. My round is just the right size for me to work by myself in a 4 week period. I think i went wrong by kickin too much arse the week i went back. Oops  ;D Should be back to normal next week tho.

I think thats what it is the time off we had due to snow we have been working quicker once the snow had gone.

My rounds still probably where it should be just lucky to get a few days off.  ;D

If you really don't really need the extra custies, then take some time out for yourself and your family

Thanks all.

I don't really need the extra work but it seems really strange for me to run out of work.

Don't expect it will last so will have a couple of days off.

I wish.  I'm still building and only really have two or three days a week at the moment. Got adversts and flyers all over the place but it's slow.
Picking up though with the weather getting better. Especially conservatory roof cleans and soffit jobs.

I ran out of work on wednesday so i took the rest of the week off as a well earned rest this week is the same week i had off at the begining of February due to the snow so for the past four weeks i have been going hammer and tongs trying to get it all back on track and deserve the time off

If you really don't really need the extra custies, then take some time out for yourself and your family

Wise words, I've got three kids, and I enjoy being with them, I could work 6 days a week but why?
I work 4 long days (usually 11 hours or so) and always take Friday off, go out with the missus, pick up the kids from school, who could ask for more?
Once you have earned what you need plus a bit for emergencies earning more and more won't do you much good.
Quality of life, worth all the money in the world.
