Price check
« on: March 04, 2009, 09:49:25 am »
Hi all, went to look at a job yesterday, the company makes greeting cards(glitter everywhere) so they just want the floors hoovering, tops wiped over, 2 loo's & 1 kitchen, 2 lots of stairs, 7 rooms used as offices just to be hoovered & tops wiped where poss & finally windows (internal) as & when required.  Looks very easy to me, last cleaner did 1 night at 4 hours but left to go to college, I think it could be done in 3 if not less, was thinking £50-55pw does this sound about right I will be doing the clean but would like to pass it over to a cleaner later on.

Ta in advance

You might get away with it if you are the only one bidding, but if they are getting quotes from elsewhere, you will be underbid, even if they are bidding on the complete 4 hours.  If the hoovering is going to be every bit of carpet every time, dont underestimate how long it will take.  Most offices I clean, the hoovering does not take long, but I do one print group and the amount of hoovering time is tripled in than place, seems like I have to vacuum every inch every time I go in, and I go in every other day.

How many days a week - if it is 5 then that is less than £4.00 per hour

yes that sound about right to me, don`t worry about maybe being undercut or else you`ll just end up working for peanuts....leave that for the monkeys
