Has anyone done the above? Did you find it easy? Are there any templates you can follow?

Thanks in advance,

Glen

I built mine using Microsoft Front Page,
It takes a bit of "Getting your head around" but once you do its quite easy.
If you can get a copy of it I have a 2002 tutorial I can let you have.

I use a program called cool page which is pretty cool when you get used to it .Got my name from redstation (http://www.redstation.co.uk)and it cost me £8 for two years for the name.

The webspace is free for the first year if you're going for the basic entry level hosting type of site and then it costs £60 a year after(I think)for the space.

you cant beat www.supanames.co.uk for price and service

I have used them for 3 years so far and havn't had any downtime on the sites i run ,

£32.88 for the www. name AND web space and email for 2 years .you aslo get the registation papers from Nominet ( like the web DVLA ) to say you own the domain name - some others hold onto this !! and charge you if you want to move to a different server  ???
when it's up for renewal they just email you and you just pay £32.88 to keep it working for another 2 year - soooo easy .

Hi

we use http://xtroot.net currently building our website. we have chosen the corporte package when u sign up you get a free domain name with the package such as yourname.com or whatever plus you get a website control pannel with templates if your not too good at web design or you could upload your own pages you have made in such like as front page or dreamwear etc. i think you should give them ago if your not too good at this sort of thing as the control pannel is really easy to understand and its prity cheat package works out monthly only about £3.00 per mounth for alot of space and alot of features with a domain name. anyway have a look see what you think http://xtroot.net

I got my webspace from http://www.superhosting.co.uk it was £14 at the time half normal price but £28 a year is very good.

I used Websphere Homepage builder to create my site. It was very easy checkout our site www.centralwindowcleaners.com
