Finally got my backside into gear today..
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:18:22 pm »
I went canvassing today for about 2 hours.
Only meant to pop down the road to a few shops but ended up doing a couple of streets where most of the old folk live.
As expected hardly anyone was home... i got 3 domestics.
The shops i went to all want a new W/C but are contracted to this useless one who barely shows up and cant get out of their contract for whatever reason.
The states of their windows though!
Thoughs that done them their self were sparkling.
Now iv been up the ladder for the 1st time since i was taken ill a few months ago.
Im not scared of heights and i managed to clean my mums windows ok, but was a little uncomfortable.... not sure if it was her fussing putting me more on edge... but did any of you feel a little uneasy before you started climbing them regularly?
luckily i have just bungalows for now, but have my eyes in an area of flats which are just 2 story high and will need a ladder and i have my eyes on an area of masonets .

iv already decided i wont go too high.
i have a condition which sometimes plays havoc with me, and like you, i dont think id be too comfortable up too high.
i just want some reassuring that i havent turned into a wuss and that i will gain my confidence

just shows what a nanny state can do, just imagine someone fifteen years ago saying that a lot of window cleaners would be afraid of using a ladder ;D ;D
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

im still scared of heights and at one time was uneasy on ladders, but with experance now no problem but i have a height limit which is the 3.6 mtr ladder fully opened  ;D ;D

Is that height limit off of slippery decking Stan?
It's a game of three halves!
