not any more than what  I read on page 27 in C&M, if i had a scanner i would load the article 60ft is no longer the limit
Thanks,  DA services posted the link but my screen resolutions to small to read the fine print and I must have missed the 27ft http://viewer.zmags.com/htmlCat/index.php?mid=wpqfpq&pageid=27
Ionics used to be the only Uk 60fter till modulars came along and as Alex said they are better for working at height than a telescopic, but I guess we will have to see this new Ionics, it will suit employers.

it will suit employers.

you've hit the nail on the head there Jeff. modulars are to prone to breakages when employing.

If the SL2 was a telescopic it would be problem solved to me, even if you compromise slightly on the weight

Ionic’s CEO, Reuben Reynolds said, “J Racenstein is, of course, a very well known window cleaning supplier and we are delighted to have them as our distributor. When it comes to water-fed poles, we understand that the easiest, most productive poles need to be light in weight, rigid in use, and robust. In order to achieve the best possible performance at height, we have only ever used the highest quality carbon fiber components. Due to Ionic’s ongoing commitment to quality in the area of water-fed pole development we are pleased to announce that we shall be launching the world’s first High Modulus Carbon Fiber water-fed poles to reach 72ft. In addition there will be a new 28ft carbon fiber WFP for residential window cleaners and a new compact 65ft Carbon pole made from 6ft sections so that it can be raised and lowered by one operator, and can be more securely stored inside a vehicle.  We are expecting these poles to be very popular, and are pleased to be able to offer them to  American and Canadian window cleaners through our new distributor.”

The advantages that these new poles will bring to window cleaners are clear.  Compared to the cost of a window cleaning contractor owning or hiring a hydraulic platform to reach 72ft, a window cleaner who is able to reach 80ft from the safety of the ground will be more efficient and therefore more competitive. At a time when building owners may be more cost conscious, the ability to quickly and safely reach as high as 72ft will give any business-minded window cleaner an immediate advantage over his competitors.

Window cleaners will be able to purchase these new poles from J. Racenstein following the official product launch in March

But it is at the moment the longest 'WFP made of Carbon Fibre in telescoping sections', so the type must be 'of composite construction with quick release clamps' all of which the Tucker does not have. It's amazing how you can phrase things.

Despite clever wording, I know I would rather work with it than the Tucker, those things bend. It sounds like it is made of similar High-Modulus carbon the same as the Facelift One that was introduced a while back. The Facelift only goes to 65ft though.
Alex when you going to do a 60ft + tele pole in carbon ? you must be thinking about it, you cracked the modular pole and your winning hands down, time for the tele pole, give us a hint  ;D

Interesting thought. We do have the technology in development right now to give us a 10 section telescopic pole. This should be ready by late April, but I still cannot see the benefit of a telescopic pole at these heights. A Super-Lite at these heights is sooooo much lighter. And has the benefit of being able to be easily used at any height below this as well. We do have clients who regularly work at 70ft, in fact in Russia the Super-Lite is sold as a 70ft package.

I do understand that there are those who will never want to work with a Modular pole and for these the new Ionics' 72ft Pole (I think that must be reach so actual will be about 68ft) will be the choice pole.

RWC -  :)

Alex right.

99% of the SL2 we sale as 70ft in Russia. Its absolutly normal for our customers.

The finish you will get at 72ft is going to be pretty poor, I cant really see the point?

One guy, very energetic SalesRep Andrea from Lewi (PuraQleen) asserted me that his customers work with PuraQleen at 98ft in Berlin. It should be the great show. No doubt, I am ready to buy a ticket.

I have funny pictures. When we used Unger Carbontec 1 year ago 3 strong guys could not manage with 31ft pole!!

One of them is general manager of  Unger distributing company.

That is why I purchased my first 2 of SL2 from Alex.

strange, we have a carbontec 10 section kit, and I regularly use it using 8 sections which is about 39 foot, and I have no problems with it, suggest either you have it measured wrong 31ft) or you need to eat your wheatabix in the morning. ;D
