Cleaning Show March 10 - 12
« on: February 11, 2009, 03:37:19 pm »
Anyone bothering to go?

Anyone know where to stay?

Anyone know where the nearest station is?

Is it easier to get a Taxi from B&B to drop me off?

How long does manflu last?

Can I have an afternoon nap now?

Answers to any of the above much appreciated.

There's a station right at the NEC . I'm going. Have a nap and your man flu will be gone  ;D

All you need now is a B& B and a taxi  ;D

Man Flu can last weeks and is very nasty, so nasty that not even women can understand it.  :o

As for the show I may go, depends on the snow  ;D

Why?  It surely can't be for pleasure.  I'd rather shove Kosovan wasps in one of my orifaces than go to the US!

You seem to have a thing about wasps Tosh. Is there something you want to tell us ?

It's just one of my catch-phrases; I'm just as boring in real-life; all my mates know that, I've a set repetoire of jokes; and once I exhausted them I've got to move on and find new people to eventually bore.

I am funny first time round, but I get a bit tedious after a while.

Besides which, Kosovan wasps are the toughest, most aggressive wasps I've ever 'met'.  They're a bit like Jocks at closing time.

PJ, there's loads of parking at the NEC, so you can take your vehicle.

There's a bar there but it's not the place for a heavy session.

However, when I went a few years back loads of guys and one window cleaning gal from here all met up in a pub in the evening that was fairly central and it turned out to be a good evening.

If I were you I'd book a Travel Lodge (or similar), drive to the show but arrange to beer with some of the guys here prior to going.

I hope I haven't bored you too much.

I'm not going -just the poles and our US importer.  I've never yet been to any cleaning show and hope to keep it that way!  ;D

Don't be so anti-social you miserable 'get'.  I had a good time at the NEC.  Terry Burrows was going to give me a kicking because of a daft post I put up about here about his hair (I've got hair just the same as Terrys, but just not on my head!), and David St-I'ves was faciliatating the beating I could've got (Terry is a karate black-belt).

And I met the Shiner, and a good few other characters.  It was well worth going; I'd go this year, but I'm saving the pennies for other stuff.

We haven't really got time to do shows.  We try and keep it simple - we design and make poles, they sell.  We make some more...................  :D

You need to make time! I tell you what, once everything is sorted I will email you and then you can make up your mind. The USP of our show is that it is a chance to meet suppliers that don't normally do shows so your attendance would be VERY welcome! We don't just want the big boys there we want people from right across the board  and as the show is being designed for window cleaners we really would like to see the suppliers attending that Window Cleaners want to see! Without brown nosing too much lets just say that so far when researching which suppliers people would like to see you came out very high in the list. OK top 3!
SOD IT OK I admit it so far your top :o
So I hope you will consider giving the public what they want as otherwise we could end up with a lot of this!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
