Patio doors
« on: March 23, 2005, 03:49:01 pm »
Today I went to one of my customers, and they had metal railings put along the edge of there patio.  The person that installed them had used a angle grinder,  3 sets of large patio doors are now completely covered from top to bottom with rust from were the sparks have sunk in to the glass. :( However using the Wfp it was no problem just wash and leave. :) If you had  used a squeegee the rubber would have been split in seconds, and a scrim would have just snagged.

I would have been peeved if I was them....the 'workman/men' should have shielded the glass from damage....3 set's of door's....knackered...in fact I'd claim !

One of my commercials is like that, Roy - one set of windows are for the machine shop in a factory and some welding has been done inside. The white-hot sparks have welded themselves to the glass and instead of wrecking a squeegee blade I just wipe them over with an old scrim - which if I'm not careful about will shred.
It's a game of three halves!

This is a real swine, it ruins the glass, I would tell the customer to claim against the  workmen. They should have more sense.

I,ve seen this happen several times and I always point it out to the customer, One even pursued the company through small claims court and had all the dammaged windows replaced even the ones with just one mark on them.most tend to put it down to experiance and do nothing though
The secret is not doing as you like but liking what you do
