Roof rack pole carrier?

Hi

Anyone carry their pole on the roof? If so do you just tie it on or do you use something else? If so, what? Pics too please ;)

I carry mine in a tube on the roof which is drain pipe with screw on cap and so on.

  I just have a couple of pieces of drainpipe zip tied to the roof rack, the pipe isnt full length of the poles, just push them through, bungy them in if I am going far, put them in the van overnight if it is going to freeze.

Tbh we've low life scum starting to realise how much wfp's are i would not dream of putting it in plastic downpipe if on the roof. Get yourself a proper roof tube cut a slit for your gooseneck and padlock it up when not near your van.
