What do you think of a website data base where you could black list bad or non payers addresses? would save us all alot of bother dont you think?

No just do what the old timers used to do. Put their names and address's in their local shop window until they pay up.

I've never been cancelled for chasing up.

I think the black list is a good idea and it's been suggested before but the consensus is that it's not legal and would make the website owner open to being sued for libel.

I don't know the law to that extent I'm afraid. But what would be the point of blacklisting an address rather than an individual?

If a loan company can not give someone something for having poor credit rating, surely this is the same thing - in effect, it's a credit rating for window cleaners! And yeah, taxi's do it!

What if they moved though? Then your black-listing someone who could be good!

if i were you i would just concentrate on window cleaning...you lost one customer dont lose any sleep over it... :

Like some of the others have said..just let it go...it will only 'chew' you up if you spend too much time thinking about it...just see it as part of a 'cull' who needs customers like that anyhow!

I've had that happen to me as well though not for ages now.  I think the database might be illegal.  It could certainly leave the database owner open to civil action.  Not seen you about lately.  Still doing much in Horley?

same problem "wud like to kick in door and take the fancy plasma.. couch hidin towrags" feelings enrage inside you for 3X 5.00 20X attempts to collect and on the edge of your work...etc..ANNOYING !!!!!!!!!
We have just began taking paypal payments .quite easy to use .
We have been hardcore debt collecting as debts were sky high was xmas etc etc.
but we have got quite a payments this way and some want to pay that way regular,
saves chasing them and sometimes a little embaressing in the middle of queue in tesco.
try it costs nothing .
