Not operating today
Would rather have a couple of days off
than have a van spanked.
Main Roads are reasonable here today
but side roads are lethal.
All schools are also shut.

Only had a little snow on the south coast over night so not too bad but all the side roads are like ice, some ideot even over took me yesterday on a icey road so its the others on the road you need to worry about, temp is3.5 out there at the mo so hopefully no snow today and should be ok tomorrow, plus kids are off school so looking after them today.

I want to work, because the alternative is a trip down to Homebase followed by some DIY jobs Wor Lass has got lined up for me!

But the Little Un is outside playing in the snow, so I'm off to chuck some snowballs at her first.

The good news is that next doors kids have trampled over everyones gardens (they haven't got a lawn 'cos it was put down to a huge parking bay) and have kindly rolled all the cat crap up into huge snowballs and put it all outside their own front door.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Took the day off yesterday as it was a blizzard here.  However today is cold but fine, so even though the roads are like skate rinks I'm going to go once I get the truck thawed.  I have a 4x4 which basically has a load of disadvantages but 1 good advantage this time of year is driving, and I'd be blowed if I'm not going to use it.

Nope. Main roads are ok, but side roads are still icy. We have had a spot of rain this morning and the sun is now coming out. Here's hoping it will be gone soon.  ;D

Just got everything unfrozen in the van the sun is out but its still freezing and the side rd's are black ice. Can deal with this 2 a point, and do some shops trad, but Im not sure about using WFP today.
Its gonna go down to -3 or 4 tonight. Given its gonna freeze up soon as the sun goes down what time would you knock WFP on the head, assuming you would work, i'd say about 3.00 pm latest or else you are asking for trouble.

Not yet, but it has got above freezing so there is a glimmer of hope. Except it often snows after a slight rise in temperature.

As someone mentioned what`s the point in smashing the van up just for the sake of feeling guilty not working, these are the only type of days off i give myself apart from proper holidays abroad. This time next week we`ll all have forgotton about being snowed off.
