According to the Ionics web site cold water turns to steam on hot glass,ergo,it dries quicker than hot!

Steam is produced when water exceeds the boiling point, therefore hot/warm water on hot glass will reach boiling point and turn to steam before cold water!
It's all down to molecules ! ;D

On hot days, hot glass etc, cold water forms droplets and can evaporate leaving spots. Hot water has a lower surface tension and rinses away better, lowering chances of spotting.

Hot water rinses almost straight off of the glass as said giving it next to no chance of spotting,the longer the water is on the glass the more chance of trouble and that`s why it`s better anytime of the year.

Of course! :)
You don't wash dishes in cold water now, do you!
It stands to reason, warm is best!
Notice I say warm and not hot! Glass cracks easy, that's why I am a bit apprehensive to going over to it, especially in this weather! :-\
