Cleaning show 2005
« on: March 20, 2005, 10:36:17 am »
What did anyone who attended the above think of the show?
The Outreach Systems Ltd  kit seemed very good and the staff very knowledgable. They do a van mounted RO system. Has anyone got one of their systems?

I spoke to all of the WFP company stands but got conflicting information. On one stand I was told that that RO membranes will be damaged with movement and are only suitable for a static installation but others had van mounted systems! Which is the case?

A carpet cleaning stand caught my eye and I think it would make a good add-on. It was the Envirodri system - has nayone any knowledge/experience of this company/system?

Regards,

Glen

Glad you got something out of the show. Outreach basically sell Omni equip.
It was a shame that there were "no show" empty stands. I think the ones that did attend benifitted, because of these missing  w/c ing stands it was not as good as last year. I am sure the price for the stands is a big downer. I know 2 suppliers who are going to chance it in 2 yrears and look for a last min reduced booking fee.
These boards certainly give you all the info you need in the comfort of your own home for free ! isnt that absolutely great.

Is the Outreach system actually an Omni one? I saw the Omni poles there alright.

What about the RO membranes? Can these get damaged when being transported and therefore are only suitable for installation in a garage etc?

Any thoughts on the Envirodri system?

You can put ROs under a sink, they do need constant pressure.
Envirodri, another tool for rainy days, why not ask over on the carpet forum. Personally over the years I have found its better to do one thing well and stick to it. I found carpet cleaning very hard on your back.

What I mean Jeff / all members, is can an RO system be transported ie in a trailer/van/car or should it not be moved ie used for storage water only?

Hi  Glen

My R/O is on the van, and have had no problems at all.

Friend of mine has an outreach system. After a few minor teething problems ( mainly burned out pumps which Outreach fixed quickly and at no cost to him) his system is great. He has the whole lot installed in an old post office van and does mainly domestic. I went along to their place the in west midlands today. Very knowledgable team who've been using wfp for several years then designed their own.  Only thing is their systems seem a bit pricey (3750+VAT for a 500 litre van system minus poles) but then I suppose you pay for what you get.
