i just want to say thanks to all on this forum who have pointed me in the right direction since i only started a few months back i am now doingaround £800 in 2weeks work not a full round yet but gettin there..had 6 new customers today ..
ive been applying the advice on canvassing and other bits like payment etc .. things are running smoother

that's reasonably easy Ross....with a pole....£100 a day is attainable if you have the customers....that would be a grand in 2 weeks !!!

I'm all for WFP's.

It's the other two I work with. They keep saying (which has some truth to it) that a lot of our work couldn't be done with poles.

Thats a bit strange...we have over 2000 customers...I look after a couple of hundred or so...but I've never come across a job I can't do (apart from inside...which I hate anyway) with a pole...
Ok, maybe some access issues where I have to use the ladder to get over a flat roof or fence or something...but I'll tell yer what....it's easier to carry a pole over a roof than a set of ladders to get to the upstairs round the back...sometimes I think you just need to make the jump and do it...I promise you, once organised, you'll never look back !

i still use ladders ..but will get wfp worked with a window cleaner today a mate we did £750 or so 3 of us... 3 storey blocks X 3 then 2 X 4 storey blocks  tons of wins on both al;l with balconies total of 64 flats ..but we did the fourth from the inside all ladder work ...i was knackered

I work with 2 others and we decided right from the outset that all 3 of us have to agree.

Today we did one of our commercial rounds and to give an example, there is a vets practise we do that pays £32 every 4 weeks. From pulling up to driving off is under 3 minutes for 2 doors, 4 large paines and 8 smaller ones. Another job that pays £20 every 4 weeks is 4 paines and a door. That one is under 2 minutes.

One other job we do is a large pub/carvery. There's 35 large outside paines which are to high to reach the tops and because of the overhang from the roof they have to be done with a short pole. That job would be perfect for WFP.

Our vehicle is a converted hearse and having spent a small fortune on that, we would need a trailer system but then not only would that slow down the whole thing (also the parking would be near on impossible), but we'd only be using it for some jobs but not others.

Then with resindentual work, some of that is in places where you cannot get a vehicle anywhere near but some is.

I reckon its 50/50 - we'd have to loose a lot of existing jobs to make WFP worth it and that is the quandry I'm in at the moment.

Personnaly, I sacrifise that to not go up a ladder again but the other two are against it.

I am not blowing trumpets or anything but a grand in 2 weeks with wfp.I only work 3 and half days and earn that and am aways finished by 2,and I dont start till 9.
When you get your round compacted and priced to how you want it a grand is easy in 4days.
Example.
A 3 bed semi with wfp takes about 8 mins.(6 quid).
Roughly 36 quid an hour.
If you work 7 hours per day for 5 days thats 35 hours.
35 hours times 36 quid is 1260 quid.
Taking into account bits of traveling and breaks etc a grand is attainable without pushing yourself.
I will say once again I am not boasting but you must not undersell yourself

If I could and nope.

No, Graham doesn't work with with us and yes, a converted hearse. It's a Ford Cardinal. Based on a 1982 Ford Granada Mk 2 with a Mk6 engine. Modified by Coleman Milne. V6 2.8 litre and fuel injected with hydraulic suspension. Drives like a dream apart from going around corners and at speeds over about 60 mph.

It still has the decking and the rollers to slide the coffins in. Perfect for my A frame ladder.

As for getting my mates to read this forum, one doesn't have a pc and the other doesn't want to because it's 'all hype'.

I will get my way in the end though.
