« on: January 09, 2009, 09:08:14 pm »
hello guys
looking at a new machine (have been cleaning carpets with a rug doctor for nearly 4 years )
not my main service i must add but due to circumstances am looking at doing more carpet cleaning have looked at ninja and excel .
looking to do 50/50 residential/ commercial and was wondering which machine you guys would recommend.
have a fairly limited budget although i believe that both firms do leaseing as when i bought wfp window cleaning system and bought cheap would rather get it right from the start this time
thanks in advance hoping you can advise

Both ok but Ninja is better. Plenty other machines on market. Best off finding a local dealer who can fix things if they go wrong. For commercial work you'd be best off looking at a bonneting system.

I have an Excel and its a good machine but when it goes wrong (which it will) would u be happy nipping up to Gateshead every time to get it fixed? Im sure a Ninja supplier will be closer to you so Id go for one of them. John

No, the Peggy model is shorter although has a far bigger undercarriage to support a huge payload.

That will be a Sea Prince then.

It's very similar to the Helicopter museum round my way. Run by a bunch of enthusiasts and strapped for cash all the time.

They have the jet place down there too I think where the uber rich keep their fighter jets.

Are you using Extracta chemicals too? My Exel suffered from sucking too much foam the other day...(Vanish foam srubbed in to red wine on 80/20)  Both motors running but suction was completely lost..... What was happening?

It's fine now but I was worried the exel number 2 was gonna have to come out to play ??? ??? ???

If they ever need a qualified Sea King engineer, I'm available!

Colin

They would do but you won't get paid anything. ;D

It's all volunteers and we got a lot of ex Westland people from around here.

Nothing flies which is a shame. They have the world speed record Lynx and an acquired East German Hind D.

A fun couple of hours so long as you leave the Mrs at home. ::)

Sorry Simon, back to your thread....
