Steamway parts?
« on: January 09, 2009, 05:50:15 pm »
Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get Steamway Truckmount parts? Alltec can't anymore and don't think anyone else in the UK can get them. I think I'm going to have to order from the states but they seem reluctant to reply to emails.

Hi Mike,

I'm looking for a temperature limit switch and Solenoid valve on the water box assembly.

Both these parts are in common use on other truckmounts so my first call  would be to Hydramaster.

but with a technical question on T/Ms I'd ask it on the Truckmounters Forum.  wwwtruckmounters.co.uk

Dave Liahona who is no longer a member of this forum is a bit of an expert on Steamways machines I'm sure he could give you some good advice.

might be worth trying

Thanks Mike, would have posted on truckmounters but I get the message I have been banned, didn't even get the chance to post! Have emailed but not got any joy.
Will get in touch with Hydramaster.
Thanks again

Did talk to Dave but lost the number he gave me to a supplier in the US. Haven't been able to get in touch with him since.

Hi,

we couldnt source any parts for our steamway in the uk, so ended up buying from the states, they dont

seem to be big on answering emails, but when we spoke to them they were more than helpful, and the

parts took only a few days to arrive, prices were good then but the exchange rate not so good now!

Dave Liahona was a great help too, knows his way around a steamway well and gave some top advice.

if you need a number for steamway in the states then i can post it for you, need to remember the time

difference tho if phoning.

Regards
steve

These posts don't loo good for Alltec, maybe they could step in here to rekindle some lost faith.

Steve

Could you send me the number please, as the few I rang in the states were unwilling to export.
Do you still have a steamway?

Dave
I think they fell out with Steamway, then started selling the Blue wave TM's. Alltec service guys are good but just can't get the parts now. They advised me to bypass the problem, which I've done. But it's a bit of a pain, having to struggle to get the parts.

Hi Jamie,

The two numbers I have are :-

0017142886225 ( From Dave Liahona)

+13033553566 Denver Colorado ( from the manual that came with the T/M)

We still have our steamway although a bit old now, but really are a great machine i think, we also have a pro mount 20 and its not nearly as powerful as the steamway, the only thing i dont like is the burner on them, always seem to be a bit tempremental (sp).

Hope you get the parts for it,

Try those numbers, if you cant get through then i will look out some more from the manual tommorrow.

regards
steve
