looking at leaving my ro and di unit outside all the time connected up to my water butt.looking at making a wooden box for it as someone suggested(got no shed at the mo)what is the best way to insulate it?also has anyone ever had the pure water in the water butt freeze up?

Polystyrene sheet or Rockwool will do the job.

If the water does freeze in the butt, it will only be the top inch or so.
