To actually build a worth while and profitable business, you need to work long hours and its hard work. Do the graft during the day, and then in the evening look at the books, phone customers, deal with quotations, plan your marketing, design flyers, DIY your equipment
, Go Canvassing the list goes on.. Many dont realise this once you start to increase in cutomers.
Cutomers that use these cheap alternatives, do so at their own risk - because the cheaper alternatives will not last, then they say my last window cleaner did it for £5 - well where is he then?, He probably gave up as it was too much effort, for too little money! Or anything along those lines.. ive used it myself. Ask them, were they a professional, trained window cleaner with adequate insurance? I ve no idea, probably not then :
The reason window cleaners disappear is they either go out of business or get better paying jobs as they have realised they priced too cheaply in the first place. Under cutters are their own worst enemy, they price cheap to get it but have to work those cheap jobs themselves.
Working during the summer is hard, its hot work, i hate the summer i prefer the spring and autumn months, more pleasurable to work in - and the winters can be a killer.. you need to be prepared for window cleaning for the long term. Its not just climbing up and ladder and splashing water about..
a nice quote for this could be
"Grass always looks greener on the other side" or at least it something like that..
