Hi

Can it be arranged for a leasing company to buy s/h gear like this & lease it back at approx £250/£300 a month.

I dont know a lot about leasing but that would be a good deal i think.

The other BIG thing to remember is that if you do buy something as expensive as this make sure there is no outstanding HP on it as it would still belong to the finance company and you could be left with sweet fanny adams. That means sod all ;D ;D if the person selling it did not clear what was outstanding when they sold it.

Think it was dave p who was looking fora new van and he saw one on a dealer forcourt and it was still on hp when he had it checked :o

Woul be much better from someone from the forum if we were going for aa upgrade thats used as least we know some a little bit more about the history of the sale ???

On TM's they were saying a new 318 is 10k with essentials and vat, wonder if it's gone up with exchange rate or gone down cos they need to shift some?

What i'm saying is if you can get a lease company to buy a second hand TM and van for say 11K and lease it back for a resonable sum, instead of buying new.

I get it Dave.

Takes the edge of the monthly payments and you get a bit of piece of mind. It's not like there's an AA inspections for Truckmounts- or is there? :)

Guy's  With view to the reason why this is up for sale I have taken this posting from another board so we all know a little history on this item,

well it didnt sell, best offer was £10,100,  I did have a chat with the lady whos selling it, her husband bought the van + machine new from H/M at a cost of £28k
He has since passed away and that is the reason for selling.
I did have a brief chat with H/M and they do a new van with 318 for around 20k at mo.
I still think 10k is a fair price considering risidual price of vans is low at mo, and as someone else said i think that van would cough abit with all the weight in! LWB would have been far better

I am sure she is a lovely peson but just remember this if he spent 28k on it and the machine has hardley done any work how was it bought 28k cash i don't think so. The only point i am making is make sure and not only the van.
Must GO or i will be late and that won't look good  8) 8)
