You need b*lls of steel!!!

This contract is worth in excess of 2 million, unless you have an established infrastructure to cope with this amount of work, why bother.

I am all for going for it and taking opportunities and I admit to having been quite interested in more than one of these contracts, over the last week but they are substantial in size, regional areas covered and the amount of staffing required.

The main thing with one of these contracts is having the finance in place to get to the first pay day. The bank may help you with this and offer overdrafts and loans etc but the amounts will be into the tens of thousands.

Nowhere near this scale - we have just completed a store clean in Hayes - Middlesex - It ran for two months and then the invoice went in. I wont see any money till the third week of the new year. Start to finish about 4 months.

If you can handle the headaches, the lack of money, the stress of staff just not bothering to be where they are meant to be then go for it.

You may already have the stresses as mentioned but imagine multiplying them by a hundred and this will be somewhere like what you will experience.

I do not believe there will be more than one or two at the most, who frequent this site with everything in place or the capabilities to fulfill the requirements for these contracts.

They wll want proof from you that you already have working capital to get you going and this will be part of the tendering process application form.

Good luck

Rob ;D

I don't think that they would look at you if the contract is more than 50% of your turnover during the contract period.

Hi

As with anything, the larger it is the most on the ball you have to be.

it doesn't have to be a colossal nightmare etc. etc.

If you get the contract in writing the bank will be more than happy to help you out (even in this climate) Staff will always let you down whether it's a nice clean office or cleaning the contents of Beelzebub's @r5e!

Go for it, you will gain experience in the tender process and may just get a contract out of it.

No Guts, No Glory.
