I was cleaning the windows at a very, very expensive property on friday & the windows above the swimming pool were scratched on the external side.
The water had been drained from the pool to allow repairs to be carried out, and was the ideal opportunity for us to clean them.
We cleaned the glass and it seemed that it had a slight film on it, and had serious scratch marks on where the cleaning company who attempted to clean the glass had damaged it, by what looked like a sliding ladder mark, one high up the glass and one in the middle......
The housekeeper of the house gave me a bottle with some orange/red solution in it and asked me to try cleaning the damaged glass with it.
I HAVE NEVER seen anything like it, after constantly rubbing the deeply scratched glass, THE SCRATCHES WENT !!!!!!!!
I was told it was called Jewellers rouge, IT WAS SERIOUSLY MINDOGGLING,
it was brilliant & they were made up, as i had said they would need to contact someone like a glass restorer to try and take the scratches out.
