freezing conditions, best way to keep going
« on: December 07, 2008, 12:02:25 pm »
I know its been spoke about before but just want to get straight on what tro do, have just bought some of that alcohol stuff from maplins.

I have a merlin in a shed and a static tank with hoses running along top of ground and a tank in van with normal poles,

So how do i stop,
Merlin freezing, hoses above ground, static tank, and van tank.

Hints and comments would be great.

Duvets to cover and keep things warm, heaters in the shed, van to do the same and hose insulation.

Try to get your hoses off the ground if possible to prevent ground frost from freezing them up.

The RO won't freeze up if water is flowing through it. I do all my production at night now.

Duvets are excellent for insulating. I also use old towels from charity shops.

Using IPA as antifreeze is going to be hugely expensive.
