charged both my batteries up last week car battery and leisure battery they were both sitting fully charged at the start of the week after 4 days work,
 the leisure battery needs charged as the varistream is flashing green this has happened a few weeks in a row now could my car battery be draining my leisure battery through the split charge relay as it is weaker

Nope,.. the split charge doesn't allow the car to drain the wfp battery, or vice versa.

4 days off a single charge is good though,..

i know one cant drain the other when engine is off but is it not possible one would drain the other as i am driving ?    or even can you give me an idea of how long my battery should last using the split relay if im driving about say 250 -300 miles per week should the battery still be charged up at the end of each week or fortnightly even ?

  Batteries do not like cold weather, that is why most people only find out their car battery is getting weak when the weather turns cold.
  They will need more regular charging when it is cold.

  remember rubbing the TV control batteries when they were getting flat? You were just warming them to make them more efficient.

  On the subject of batteries, I will share a little gem with you all regarding leisure batteries - you can get them for FREE or very cheaply - go to a mobility scooter supplier and blag a couple of old ones, they are generally perfectly servicable but have no second hand value as old people always want new ones! They also cost to dispose of so you will be able to get them for a nominal fee or totally free.

  I got 2 a couple of weeks ago, in perfect like new condition complete with the correct charger, for absolutely nothing but my time in asking.
