calibration fluid
« on: December 04, 2008, 04:54:26 pm »
I today tested my tds meter in 20ppm calibration fluid.I t read 25ppm --5ppm out.
I future when I take a reading should I deduct 5 (ie a reading of 012 would really be 007) or should I deduct 25% (ie a reading of 012 would really be 009)?
I have got di reading of 005 and this would be the difference between 000 and 003-004

i may be wrong here but if you get a higher caliberation fluid like say 337TDS fluid then you can get a more accurate differential reading.

RO Man recomends using a calibration fluid nearer to the TDS you require - so a 20ppm calibration fluid is the right stuff for us.

You better inform all the W/C suppliers who are suppling us with 342 ppm to calibrate are TDS meters with then.
