Help! Oven cleaner spilt on oak furniture!
« on: December 03, 2008, 01:32:31 am »
Hi,

one of my cleaner forgot to use a brain today and spilt some oven cleaner - Mr Muscle,  on customer's oak cabinet. The affected area has changed a colour from light brown to dark brown. It looks really terrible. I've been told the furniture was expensive,  cost 750 pounds.
Have you got any idea how to rectify the situation, before I claim my insurance I want to try your solutions first.
Thank you for any help!

Dave

Hi

You could hand sand the area, re-stain and re varnish the area?

Better than paying for new furniture.

Or you could get out a French polisher?
