just being doing some maths, although I'm using my area to get the figures I don't think it will vary that much.

tomorrow ( and the day after... and the day after..etc..etc..etc)  35 people within 10 miles of your home will get their carpets or upholstery cleaned. lets say 10 of them  will use a carpet cleaner who they know & have used before, but the only reason the other 25  will not be using you is they don't know you exist.

can you think of any reason not to aim your marketing at finding those 25 (within 10 miles) rather than the rest of the population who live 40-50miles away?

Mike

Would you be up for covering this in April 2009. It would be a great addition (wish we had you in it for this year to be honest).

you also need a usp to attract customers to you, you need to stand out from the crowd, especially in classifieds etc

Hi

I  looked at a Franchise at one time & they recond you need a 40,000 population to make it work.

Unfortunetly they offer me ******, dont want to offend anyone that lives in Oldham.
