Have a look on the omnivac site - they do two, a Chinese Loncin and a Honda engined one.
I'm using a Loncin - seems ok so far.

I have the Honda  gen and 110v Vac.  The Honda starts first time every time.

Honda renowned quality or a similarly priced  Chinese make  I had never heard off.   I had no choice to make.

Loncin was way cheaper than a Honda so i am expecting trouble but so far it starts first time every time (electric start). I think Kev R uses one for pretty heavy commercial work without any problems. If mine falls apart after the warranty i'll go Honda. Stephill were the cheapest range i saw that used Honda engines.

so what yr saying ftp is go for a make like sdmo/pramac which both use the honda engine rather than a Honda genny

To be perfectly honest i looked at what Omnivac were using (5kva) and sourced my own.
If you want the best then buy a Honda but be prepared to pay dearly for it. I'm no expert on generators but would think the engine was the most important part so if you want a Honda like you said then there are ways of getting one with that engine in it.

Sorry to confuse, but I meant a Honda engined generator. Didn't even know Honda do a complete generator. The Loncin was about the same price as my Stephill Honda generator from Omnivac. I did check a few other places and Omnivac's price was competitive.

I have used an Omnivac for the past two years and bought a Pramac 6.5 kva Honda generator and its been great. I have just upgraded to Omnivacs latest 4200 watt vac and thats even better than the old one 8)

I have the Loncin from Omnivac its been no problem - starts first time every time. I found it to be competitively priced, especially as I would not buy one from ebay!!! The Loncin is a good generator I'm really pleased with it.

What a strange reply? I've seen the Gutter vac on ebay from Omnipole.
Have seen this company on ebay too http://www.pump.co.uk/shop/Generators/PetrolSilent/d24/sd77?code=LC5000DDC
Also seen Cleaning Spot and Pure Freedom too amongst others.
So not all things on ebay are bad  ;)

Hi Kev

Its difficult to judge as my old vac had a lot of use and it had lost power in the end. But the new one seems to have got a lot more suction. As to the price Steve hopefully Glyn will come on and let you know as i have my paperwork in my office and i cannot remember.

Cheers

I have a 6.5kva 13hp stephill generator. Money well spent in my opinion.

How long is the 4200w vac out?
