Just seen this advert for neoprene gloves that have the finger/thumb tips cut off.

This will give better feel of squeegees and cloths and more dexterity for operating lever clamps on WF Poles, etc.

But will they keep hands warm(er)?

It also says that batteries last no more than 45mins so the rest of the day your hands are going to be freezing!!

Most fishing shops stock them but you have to faff about too much and they dont really keep yuour finger tips warm when its really cold. 5/10

it may be that you only need to turn them on 10 mins out of each hour.... and use re-chargeable batteries.

Noooo.. its the finger tips that need to be warm the most..

I have neoprene waterprrof gloves but it dont stop them from getting cold. I think i might get some mechanics gloves which are thermal and provide good dexterity and use under my neoprene gloves.

Theres no easy cure for us in the winter whatever you wear  is always to bulky. But heated gloves are a waste of time. When I wear gloves my hands heat up straight away so just cant see the point.

neoprene gloves work better if your hands are wet when you put them on,they then insulate from the cold better ,

another trick some fishermen use is to rub vaseline in to  hands , rub it in fast until your hands feel warm .

Gaz,

I've ordered a pair for Wor Lass; she feels the cold more than us blokes because she's only 8 and-a-half stone in weight (and is training to get down to 8 stone?!).

I think she's a bit like a 'small dog', they feel the cold more than bigger dogs; so if these gloves help, even if the battery life is 45 mins, well that'll be worth it.

 ;D

I bought 2 pairs of skiing gloves from TKMax yesterday. 1@£20 and 1@£13 Half RRP
Supposed to be waterproof and super warm whilst having the flexibility.
Looks like we'll be trying those out tomorrow ;D
