paying workers by the hour or for the job
« on: November 25, 2008, 06:29:36 pm »
Is it better to pay cleaners that work for me by the hour or for the job. I am paying them between £7 and £10 an hour. I have had some customer complaints and the cleaners say they ran out of time and left the job unfinished. I thought maybe if I offered them £20 or £25 to clean a house and stay until the job was done I might avoid unfinished cleans and customer complaints.?

This will depend on the job! If they are cleaners and experienced they should be fairly good and finish on time or before time.

Maybe you are not allowing enough time for the work to be completed in.

If the work they do is of high standards it may mean that they need more time.

You can pay a day rate or per job... see what works best but if custys are paying by the hour they will want there monies worth if they are there when the clean is being done
