Starting new business nxt year
« on: November 25, 2008, 01:29:38 pm »
Im thinking about starting up myself next year doing the driveway cleaning and pvc cleaning.
Could someone be kind enough to tell me exactly what i would need to buy and if there is any cheap places to buy the equipment.
Also are there any techniques to closing the deal, i will have lots of leads for work coming in dailly.

Thanks

Pressure washing tends to operate between the months of February to October and tails off when the dark nights drawn in.

Summer can be very busy - winter can almost come to a stop

I currently Pressure wash - gutter clean-upvc -clean-steam clean-valet.

insurance cover will be required -public liability-vehicle-contents

Knowledge Research previous topics posted on here for pressure washing -various tools/chemicals  are  for various applications.algae-litchen-moss
Tarmac-blockpaving-pattern imprinted concrete etc
Understanding of types of staining /soiling etc- oil-rust-paint

1 x van-sign written- size dependant upon payload

1x pressure washer x lance x pressure washer hose

1 x fsc- flat surface cleaner

1 x turbo nozzle

1x water tank or mobile container

various fittings for taps

hose pipe and connections

Marketing materials

upvc cleaning solutions- access ladders -conservatorys- windows

Pricing structure-

flexible approach to work- weather dictates certain task -eg resanding blockpaving- sealing etc.

How do you intend to generate you enquiries- website-advertising-canvass-mailshots etc.

Brushes-buckets-safety signs etc.

Know your limitations-eg tackling jobs which are too big-eg not enough pressure water pressure litres per minute- do i need hot or/cold water

Understanding of any chemicals you may use
Hope this helps- dont forget research pressure washing on here -plenty of useful info.

cheers Billy thats brilliant,

Is there a competitivly priced company that sell the pressure washer and equipment i would need ?

Also i would be getting roughly 15 leads per day through canvassers who work with me at the moment in my other business, my main worry is closing them into sales, do you have any techniwues to get the business ?

thanks
