Window Cleaner Calender
« on: March 08, 2005, 03:19:00 am »
Hey all you handsome window cleaning dudes; ;D

I think we all should consider making a Window Cleaners Calender for next year! 8)

We see all kinds of calenders; policemen, firemen, swimsuit models.  As window cleaners, we are all in very good shape(or should be)!

We could get together and I have a fantastic digital camera; and a little knowhow; we could create a really nice calender for next year.

I'll bet we would sell a lot! Use your imagination; we could do this! I can picture a very sexy lot. The females and the males. Picture it! :o

Folks don't realize what our proffession is all about.  It is a proffession.  All of us are proffessionals! And we are a special breed. ;D

How many doctors call us because they do not know jack about window cleaning? 8)

Get those bods in peak condition, because I am halfway serious. Not to mention you will drive your wife crazy with a hot body. (or the ladies in general).

But; what do you think? We could make thousands! :-*

I love you guys;

Hugs, Texas girl
Debbie

Funny that - you're right - I've got several Doctors on my round.

Mind you I wouldn't mind doing Doctor Who's place - its only got one little georgian window. Mind you the inside is huge so I wouldn't want to get caught out doing it for the same price as the outside.

Ramble, tangent, ramble............... :)

A Texas Girl calender?

Yes please.

I can't see it being possible to do a window cleaners one. Most window cleaners (the ones I know at least) are hardly 'macho' like firemen.

Me, I'm 5' 7" and a bit and odd shaped with very short legs and at 13 stone (no - I'm not fat) a bit strange looking. One of the others is 5' 11" and borrowed his legs from a sparrow and the other is about 5' 10" with over long arms and a smile that could scare Freddy Kruger.

I don't know if there are any real hulks out there window cleaning but somehow I think not. Well maybe one or two.

So that leaves Texas Girl.........

5'7" and 13 stones - wow Ross you must be built like a brick outhouse!
By the way - where is that scene in your picture?

Hi Malc

Er .....  Don't know about a brick outhouse. Well maybe I'm a little more stocky than most but nothing much. Most people are amazed that I weigh what I do. I won a £10 bet at a friends the other night when I said I was a little over 13 stone.

The picture - that is from my bedroom window. I live in a crummy very rough council estate that was built in the 40's in an area just outside of Brighton called Moulsecoomb (after a Saxon Warlord called Mul of the Coomb) and it is surrounded by the South Downs. How can such a dump be in such a staggeringly beautifull place? Within 5 minutes walking I'm on the downs and so is anyone else around here.

I wouldn't clean a single window around here for all the tea in China.

The weather around here is also often spectacular due to the topography of the area.

Anyway - that's off the subject of the thread and I still want a Texas Girl calendar.

That picture of yours has to be Wales?

I don't know about a Texas Girl calender; :o

The pics I have available for use were taken during the summer months;

the moderators may not allow some of those pics in scimpy bikinis. 8)

In Texas we just do not wear that many clothes most of the year. (Unless you are fat). :o

You guys are the best guys in the whole world; and I am thankful for you.

I think we should run a poll on who wants a Texas Girl calander ;D

She has to be the best looking window cleaner on the forums ;)

I know one window cleaner that looks like a stunt double for Boris Karloff, you know the kind of make up he had around the eyes to make him look so creepy in some of his films? Well this guy doesn't need the make up, man, this guy got a real slapping with the ugly stick >:(
He is a real nice bloke too. Has been cleaning windows as long as I have, carries his ladder under his arm and walks everywhere, has a flat cap, and kind of walks with a lurk ::) (No, really :o)
Tosh, if you read this, he is the guy that you will see wandering around Bulwark.

And his teeth.......I don't want to talk about his teeth :o  :-X :-\

Reply to Ross - yes it is in Wales - the mountain in the distance is Snowdon and the one to it's right which looks higher is actually a bit lower and only(!) the second highest peak in England and Wales. Its taken from the top of another famous 3000ft plus mountain called crib goch and the ridge in between is fun to do as you can see!

Do you think this was the sort of picture Texas Girl had in mind for her calendar?..... No...? nor me! ;D

Reply to UBA1 - which one in your avatar is you? (Puts on running shoes and legging it out of here!)

Hi Texas Girl

Back to the calender. I think it's a good idea that maybe could at least be sold on this forum.

Possibly, pictures of us hunks in good shape may not be er......... er ....... possible apart from (at least) UBA1 and yourself but there must be other pictures that'd look good of us super dooper w/c's.

Nice bloke UBA1. The very besy. Grovel grovel. That kick looks awesome.

Anyway Texas Girl - what do you think?

Hi Malc

Mountains. Drool drool. My passion is rock climbing and mountains are my second love. Strangely enough, having been all over the place I've never been up a single mountain in Wales. I will do at some point though.

Texas,

Great Idea,  I think we should all get together and get it done and donate the taking to charity - Aids in Africa hit home after watching red nose day.  Also Texas - I sent you a pm the other day it was with regards to w.c in florida - was wondering average prices and demand but I guess this al varies from state to state.  Let me know if you can help as I am doing a little research into it at the moment.

All the best

Hey Wrighty;

I really can't answer about Florida's market, but I can tell you that  every place has a market.  I can tell you it is a higher return market in a larger city. ;D

Anyplace over here has a good market. It will take time to get established as anywhere, but making $50 to $70 thousand dollars a year doing the work yourself is possible.

Again, you will receive what you work your rear end off for. In my area, my ex husband was making $60 thousand a year doing a normal route consisting of mostly commercial but maybe 25 % residential.

Personally I think that residential is the goldmine!  It takes time because the average cleaning schedule for houses is 2 times/ year.

But there is a good market over here. 8)

If I were going anywhere to start; I would bank enough money to live for 6 months. By then, you could probably make it, but if you are lazy forget it. ;D

Hugs,

I am considering a sample page for a calender for 2006; just to tap the idea.

I bought 2 bikinis while in Florida. A black one with matching board shorts(very small); and a floral one that is just cool looking. :o

How about I take a couple of tropical shots and mix a window cleaning shot ?  Maybe cleaning a window while wearing a bikini? Different, huh?

Just brainstorming.  That is why I work out; I wish to wear a bikini for as long as I can! It is work! No pain, no gain? Gotta stay off that couch! ;D

Yes, I am a bit vain; aren't you?  A bit of vanity will make you take care of yourself.  8)

If we ever did a calender, all proceeds would go to charity of course.

What do ya think?

Hugs, :-* :-* :-*

Debbie,

That sounds like a top idea.
I like the idea of you cleaning a window with squeegee, a dripping applicator in the other hand, your reflection visible in the glass, now if your bikini was of the thong type.......... :P
What about a photo of you cleaning an inside window, your figure highlighted but shadowy, perhaps in profile?

I'm sure others will have ideas too, providing of course they are on a window cleaning related theme!!!

They used to supply stuff you could put in your tea years ago, or so army folklore would have it.

That was bromide, but I think it's more urban legend than fact!

Yeah I know ;D

I guess being shot at can shrivle your ardure more effectively than bromide ;D

Though a smack in the mouth from a jealous boyfriend who's bird you have just got off with is quite effective too 8)

Sigh, those days are long past now :'(
