i am refering to my earlier post, and hopefully it does not come across too trivial given the circumstances...that is paying via paypal....i know and understand the point that coz its a charity they dont want to lose the additional fee that they (paypal ) takes.....and quite right....but would it make more sense to walk away with 94% from a hundred quid from a paypal payment than 0% from 0 quid that the people without credit or debit cards cannot give even when they want to, i suppose they COULD find away, but the easier we make it for them the more cash will come in, and as i said before a lot of people (thousands) make on the spot purchases online via a simple 1 or 2 click paypal system a sall they need to do is sign in and hey presto, instant transfer......i know paypal will take a cut but money will change hands, and in most people i know who use this system for chaity payments use the gift aid service where an additional fee is paid to the charity by the govt, which is more than the fee paypal take......as i say i hope this post isint taken the wrong way, its just something i was thinking about to bring you guys in more cash. :)

just a little up date. on wensday last week i got up in the nite to see to May-Rose and doing so i went over on my ankle  :(
it felt ok the next day so i ran on it. 6 mile no probs same again friday but then sunday i went out on a long run and 45 min is it started playing up. but by this time i was 45 mins/6 mileish away from home.

so i had to make my way back. buy the time i got home i was jogging like vanessa phillps :'(

and in so much pain. it blew up like a ballon. so mon and 2day ive been struggling at work. ladders have been very hard. but compaired to the pain my motherinlaw went through is nothing!

Wor Lass says if you twist an ankle, you've got to 'ice it' (a bag of frozen peas will do) as soon as possible after the injury, and take anti-inflamatories.

If it's severe, all swollen and stuff, avoid cross-country runs for four-to-six months; since the tendons will be stretched; the signals your brain receives from your ankles while running over uneven ground could be deceiving, and you could possibly twist the said ankle again; maybe worse.

She also suggests that you're a bit soft; but I don't believe that; but she trains on an injury... so can you!

Just rest it for a day-or-two, then get back to the programme.

(I'm great at giving advice... )

Dean,

An injury at this stage of your training isn't that bad; at least it's not three-weeks prior to your marathon, after you've put all the hard work into it.

Have you a bike or can you swim?  Wor Lass cross-trains when she's injured; injury allowing of course; can you?
