What do ya'all think of it?
I have a member of staff that has been struggling with learning the basic technique. I have taught several guys over the years to squeegee so I was thinking this guys a little slow. I remembered seeing Wally's video and thought its worth a try.
When I first watched Wally's video, for me it was quite long winded but the new lad loved it. He liked the fact that it was broken into sections - top - middle and bottom. I have always taught in one pass as it were.
Well Wally's video has done the trick he's still a little slow but his technique is spot on - it has also taught me to teach the technique in three sections - So thank you Wally
I'm truly delighted that it's been of use to someone who wanted to learn. That was my motivation in making the video in the first place.
Interestingly, the begining isn't always the best place to start. When I taught English as a Foreign Language I often used a technique called back chaining. So to teach the pronunciation of photographic, for example, I'd teach students to say:
GRAPH-ic
to-Graph-ic
pho-to-GRAPH-ic
I had that idea in mind when I designed the video.
