crikey....so glad i upgraded.................not..........i love george,couldn't be without it,but why bring out upgrades that are gonna cause havoc? haven't even checked out my debts...............too scared to. Sayin that, i could be quids in lol

There were a few problems with some of the earlier versions - especially with prepayments and part payments. You need a copy of the Debt List to see what the numbers should be.

I don't understand the missing clCash file error - lots of you have upgraded successfully - contact me direct to sort it out.

If you have a fatal memory alert on the Palm it's a Palm problem but maybe the PocketGeorge upgrade wasn't done properly - again, contact me direct.

Thank you to all the users who have contacted me and are happy with the new version. This is the first of a number of upgrades which will include the most requested new features...

Downloaded new version of George. Tried to open it and it said I needed to download pocket George. Downloaded Pocket George but don't have a PDA so can't open George now because a couple files missing on pocket George.

How do I get around it?

Same here my debt list has an extra £1000 added to it, dating back to 2004, I did email Paul with my last back so I'm hoping he'll be able to sort it for me.

The new version does look good though I like some of the new features already.

to be fair I think it's like anything that gets a big upgrade there will always be the odd crease that needs ironing out so i'm sure it will be fine.

I upgraded and my debt list now date's back to 2004
I understand that the new features will be useful.
BUT IT REALLY BE WORTH THE TIME I HAVE TO SPEND CORRECTING 4 YEARS WORTH OF DEBTS???

I say bring back the last version!!! At least it was reliable.

Old versions of George didn't record payments received - that's why you have those old debts.

I will write a fix program tomorrow to sort them out.

Why did it say "print a debt list,you WILL need this" I printed one as requested........but don't understand why 

yep me to , sent an email to george as i did not understand either, also it has now loaded some old debts on to pocket george , these were debts i had written of in the past i think, will have to see what paul thinks.

You need the old Debt List to check the new one is correct.

There are some issues in the upgrade caused by shortcomings in early versions of George.

It shouldn't be a problem for recent users but some of you guys have been using it for years..

i have a few debts where it shows less owing than they actually do , have gone to ammend but george wont let me .

eg, i have 1 job owes 2 cleans,

debts page shows they owe 4.50, yet they infact owe 2 @ 4.00 = 8.00 ( small job 2 upstairs windows next to another custy)

have gone to history on this job,it shows i clean ( 4.00) but shows 3.50. recieved, the other entry is fine.

tried to ammend  the 3.50 recieved to nil , but will not let me do this,

how can i correct enties like this?

Sounds like you are trying to amend the transaction instead of the payment.

Click the other tab and amend it there.

please can we have an update where you are able to put more information in the expences ref bit it is such a pain that you can only put so many characters in it and not be able to put what you want..it's getting really annoying..
