Just got back from doing an inside clean. I did the outside last week.

Thing is.....the back garden has got 2 BIG!(tops of the trees are above the houses roofline) pine trees in, the sort that have needles; and I noticed the windows on that side of the house were pretty dirty, even after having done just last week. I felt kinda, wow; they're going to want an explanation.

I wouldnt say its sap (the gooey, yucky honey like stuff) more like muck off the trees??

Anyway, the frames are plastic, been doing this place with the pole since the start of the year.

Has anyone else come across this with trees (I guess of any type, not just pines) buggering up windows after, or could it be something else. The windows on the other side of the house were fine.

I've two big cherry trees by my kitchen windows and these windows get cleaned at least once-per-week (by Wor Lass) because they get dirty really quickly.

Matt, I wouldn't even explain about the trees; your customers will know already.

trees cause a lot of my work to look spoiled, however it is apparent that this is the reason why as the roof and masonary around the effected areas are a bit grimy also and with moss/algae growths

Thanks guys, it shook me up a bit, thinking what other places have been done dodgy, you know how it is, getting all worried about vents, water TDS, was it too windy that day, just checked it was in fact 12 days ago.

Anyway, nice to know it happens elsewhere, perhaps its because usually I do the insides when I do the outsides, but on this ocassion its12 days later so they're beginning to look dodgy.

i find it best to clean the insides the same day you do the outsides

i do a house regular, where she asks me to clean insides a week after i've done outs, the back of the house is bordered by large conifers, beyond them is the M6.

when i do the insides the fronts after 1 week still look great

it's  a different story round back though, depending on weather , they can look slightly dirty to filthy,
she knows it is down to the trees + M6.

i know where you are coming from on this , as sometimes it looks like they have not been cleaned, but she understands it is not my work at fault, and even asks me to clean backs again ,which she pays for
