woke up with man flu :(
« on: October 28, 2008, 06:33:20 am »
Got up this morning feeling rough!! Felt cold and ill all last night and put it down to the cold day and working a longer day than i had done for a week or two, but obviously ive come down with  a heavy cold, feel like crap...

Do you go to work when you are ill or stay in and rest to get better quickly?

Any sympathy is welcome :)

Same here. went to bed last night feeling rough, burning at back of nose and throat, couple of hot lemons.
Woke up this morning to a really hard frost and man flu.
Will be going out later, about 7am, do a few hours and see how I feel.

No, have a match coming up on Sunday and going to have a practice tomorrow, hopefully, as have never fished the place before.
The place is Lathom fishery at Burscough a the fish should be carp, roach, chub and barbel.

I know where you are coming from with pike as this weather is ideal for piking.

you want to come down to the severn mate or avon for barbel, saying
that the fishing been hard down on the avon lately but managed to
catch a nice 8lb barbel last weekend, get a bit more colour in the water and the areas
around evesham e.g. harvington and salford priors are cracking for barbel
fishing, they dont half pull your arm off :) :)

I never get colds or flu; I don't know why!

Maybe it's 'cos I'm a Geordie and not soft like you lot; maybe I do get colds, but just don't notice?

I've had it since yesterday.
Really slows you down, especially after virtually no sleep, and don't feel like work.

But way-hey! It's raining this afternoon! ;D

lol, that's the spirit tosh. I couldn't see man flu getting much sympathy in the army either.
I've had 1 cold in 4 1/2 years of window cleaning. Being outside is the best thing for colds i reckon. Last employed job i always had a cold.
