Yes you can.

Check out the Harris topic, (in a search), on this forum and it will tell you all you need to know.

Its easy convert.

I think some of the guys have put extentions on there's as well.

Hope this helps.

You can add a couple of sections to the harris.

An Unger no1 and No5 sections.

I have not done it as i have no spare sections but the harris is a very good pole so will do eventually.

I regularily use my Harris with the Unger no5, when i need a bit of extra height. It is very whippy but a cheap way of getting higher.

I have an Unger teleplus pole, the top section fits inside the top section of the Harrris, the base section of the Harris fits inside the base section of the Unger.
These add about 11ft to the 5 meter Harris pole.
I have fitted an additional cone to the top of the Harris, this clamps nicely onto the Unger top section.

I think you maybe overtightening them as that would rapidly wear down the clamps.

My harris is use as my main pole and has been used for 6 months and my clamps are fine.

harris did have a 7mtr pole we used 1 years ago when painting a gableend on a terrace house , you would need a specialist decorating store as the likes of b&q  & focus dont have them .

I've posted on this before, Just
1] undo the clamp cone and slide it down the pole.
2] cut a  strip of plastic from a pop bottle about 3/4" wide.
3] tuck one end of the strip under a clamp claw and wrap it round the claws once, cut it off where both ends meet.
4] screw the clamp cone back on and tighten.

The plastic strip will mold itself to the thread of the cone, affectively making up the worn section.
This method works well for me and costs nothing.
