Has anyone use a electric blanket to stop there hoses and things from freezing up in the winter.I thought about this and putting one over my gear and putting it on a timer to come on in the morning. Do you think this would work?

the only downside i can see is , the way people on here love their van/ systems, they would be tempted to then sleep in their van , with the electric blanket covering themselves, and the system. sweet dreams all  ;D

I bought two small oil fired radiators from machinemart two timer plugs from tescos and one camping/caravan extension lead with built in rdc. one goes in van, one in the garage, both timed to switch on at 3 am at mo, unless its going to be freezing all of the night in which case its on all night. 8) Syd

I use one of those little electric greenhouse heaters, it can be set so that it only comes on if the temp drops to freezing. These save a lot on electric, they switch themselves off if the temp rises above freezing.
