A RUN UP TO CHRISTMAS ,COMPETITION.
« on: October 24, 2008, 09:06:08 pm »
With all the world in a state of depression, i think we ought to cheer ourselves up with a little game

lets ask the moderators on here if they will stick a non moveable topic on here, (until its over anyway)

To see who gets the most new residential customers (could have commercial on a seperate one ??)........ before xmas...!!!!

we will base it on pure honesty between us, and have a suprise gift for the winner!
(suprise could be for a cheat with a silly amount, or a great prize for a genuine looking winner)....

What do you all think?

it would lift our spirits,... and also help to gain extra money for xmas..

it would also show us , a little , about how the economy is hitting us!

it would also provide us with those extra customers should we lose some.

it would also put the cowboys in their place, as all us guys on here would be blitzing the country canvassing

and it would be a fun pastime on here , on the run up to xmas. a little competition between us all.

and it would make us work harder too  ;D

Any Good??

Good idea.

Im leaflet dropping next week anyway as i have a few space's now due to stopping certain jobs so now need to fill my round back up with about another £400 worth of work per month.

So i won't win anyway as i don't need loads of work and once i reach my target i shall stop.

And plus i have 10,000 leaflets sitting in a box upstairs been there for two or three years and the missis wants them gone, so may as well put them to good use.

Thats good, but why stop at your target in this economic climate?..

lots of new customers here ..... can we get mr Ian Giles to have a look at see if we could make it work? :D

The reason i would stop at my target as its only me and i would not be able to do much more on my own.

And i don't want to take anyone on so there is only so much i can do and stay at a regular 4 weekly clean.

Why don't CIU have a competition for the best video submitted on Utube featuring wfp, trad or gutter cleaning. More interesting and fairer to judge honest submissions.

if you get too much work on, just plan each day by picking all the cherries (best jobs) which have come due and fill the day up with the most geographically sensible run-of-the-mill jobs.

this way, your profits wil inrease by a surprising amount (trust me i've tried it) and the customers which you will be latest for  will be your least profitable and therefor the ones you are least bothered about losing!

And i don't want to take anyone on so there is only so much i can do and stay at a regular 4 weekly clean.

But what do you do when you build up  a week of long time customers who are the least profitable ? if they were not fitlered out but left mixed in then the round would still work ? I am 2 months behind and my round is 2 monthly  :'(
