Rainy day WC just called it a day
« on: October 23, 2008, 02:10:56 pm »
9/10 times we will continue in wet weather, we have full waterproofs including gloves and boots but today’s weather is just to dangerous. I got all my low level and inside jobs done, but now I have had to cancel the rest with the wind being so high.

There is also major flooding here, I drove up on street today and the whole thing was flooded, kerb to kerb. I just had to keep to the middle or the sallowest part of the road and truck on through. But I was hell of a worried of flooding my engine. Fortunately it was fine, but I guess I will have to amend my T&C's now to 'we don’t go out in storms'.

I have already moved most in to next week, but looks like there wont be many WCs earning in this. It’s ferocious here in Glasgow.

I've been using my seal skins for about a week now and they are prefect for window cleaning, the best pair of gloves I've ever had. They are completely water proof and griped palms which are perfect for pole work.

They give a very fast service, and will use them again.

On the weather front through, I got out again and did £35 worth of customers as the rain eased of for a little while. The wind was still really bad but I just switched to extention poles where I could. So not that bad. But definately the worst weather of the year. Absolutely terrible.
