Just wondering what pole on house's you use the most for your standard everyday stuff.

For me the pole i use most is my harris.
If that does not reach i then use my powerpole but that not often the powerpole is used as my harris reach's 90% of my work.

And a omnipole minipole for downstairs

I also have a couple of other pole's, one's an extender and the other is a converted unger 3x2 but they are just either stuck in my shed or in the van as a spare incase i break a pole.

Thinking about one of these fishing pole's for over conservatories but i don't think i will use as an everday pole as i like my harris.

I've got a cut down Brodex pole with drilled out brush head that is just brill.
Over 18 foot the standard Brodex GF (24ft) with sill brush comes out
Above standard 3 storey then the brodex alu comes out.
Over 40 foot and the Omni makes a rare appearence
Ground floor either power pole or short Brodex

Harris for everything, If I need to go higher I stick an Unger number one section on the end of it, if I want to go higher again, then the unger  number five section fits onto the bottom.
I too love the Harris.

And what do you do for clamps for the added sections do the unger clamps fit on.

I use Matt and Jeff B's Zensorflex DIY fishing pole; and it's class.

I've been using it since Monday, and for £20, I just can't believe how good it is.

I will stick a new post up later in the week saying more; but I reckon on routine 1st floor work (ie two-story-houses) it's as good as any of the 'off the shelf poles' that cost £400+.

I honestly can't believe how good it is, Matt; and it's not like I've not had any experience with the more expensive poles; I've had a go with both Squeak's and Ian_Giles's SL2 and tried lots of poles at the cleaning show.

I've a first clean tomorrow of a commercial unit; it's stinking; lots of pole work, and I'm really looking forward to doing it with this DIY pole, purely because it's so light.

I may donate another tenner to your site for your pizza fund; it's that good.

But I'll give it a week and do a post with pics and stuff up here.  Obviously, I'll not take any credit; but I think it'd be good for our fellow window cleaners to know that there's cheap and effective light-weight DIY poles out there.

I think what put me off before hand was that it sounded all so complicated; even Squeaky remarked that he thought Jeff and yourself could make it sound more complicated than what it actually was, when it's really very simple to do.  

I do understand that explaining it, even though it's very simple, makes it sound more complicated than what it is; so that's not a dig.
