my pump packed in today
« on: October 20, 2008, 02:33:20 pm »
the morning started off with rain, i finally got out,

started a house up the road, did 2 windows then the pump stopped

so i pop home and get my spare pump box ( i normally have it in the van, but i emptied the van yesterday to fit a bouncy castle in the back )

ive taken the battery clips off the spare, so i refit them, the fuse has gone :( so back home for spare

i get a few houses done and its now hammering down again

so i need a new pump by the looks of it

do you use the pressure switch on your pump it could be a matter of just replacing the pressure switch £25

i did whip the thing apart, but didnt delve to deeply as i had a spare

i will spend a while and look at it, i guess i can bypass the pressure switch and check its not the pump itself

As long as its the sureflo pump then a maplins micro switch will fit, cost just over £1 :)

Matt (DIY)

Sorry to sabotage this thread, but I've been meaning to ask you..

You've mentioned several times that 'one' can earn £500 a day..  Is this tongue in cheek, or do you mean it?

If it is possible, what percentage is commercial, and how many hrs must you do in a day?

I know it is reasonably easy to top £50 per hour cleaning windows (even domestic) but to have enough work that pays £50 smackers p/hr consistently, for three days a week must take a long time to build up?

(ps- love the DIY site, could you activate my account?)

Cheers.

If you gotta ask then you haven't really got it in you.

my faithful flojet packed up last week.
Does anywhere service or repair these pumps?
